Get ready to pull on your festive best and bring the holiday cheer to the trails! We’re excited to announce the return of the Allsorts Tinkley Gate Santa Dash – a cheerful, family-friendly 5km off-road event set in the stunning National Trust Tinkley Gate.
About the Event:
We’re looking for 250 Santas, elves, reindeer, and festive runners to join us in raising vital funds for Allsorts, a brilliant local charity supporting children and young people with additional needs and their families.
Whether you run, jog, walk, or jingle all the way – everyone is welcome, including festive pooches (on leads, of course)!
Festive Fancy Dress – Wear It Your Way!
- Full Santa suits are completely optional! You’re warmly invited to dress up in whatever gets you in the Christmas spirit:
- Full Santa, elf, snowman, or festive fancy dress
- Your favourite Christmas jumper or holiday running tee
- Antlers, Santa hats, or a dash of tinsel over your regular running kit
- Standard running gear is always welcome too—just bring your festive cheer!
Event Day Information
Age Restrictions:
- Under-11s must be accompanied by a parent or guardian throughout and be at least 8 years old on the day of the event.
- Under-12s may only take part in 1 lap of the course (covering a maximum of 2.5km).
- Dogs: Festive dogs are welcome on a short handheld lead (maximum 1 dog per runner/walker).
Festive Atmosphere: We’ll have festive music playing at the event hub to keep the holiday energy high, with other exciting Christmas festivities and surprises currently being planned!
Refreshments: The Tinkley Gate café will be open before and after the event for hot drinks, festive bakes, and snacks.
Parking:
Available on-site in the National Trust car park.

For Tinkley Gate entrance - from Stroud direction, follow the A46 into Nailsworth. At the roundabout, take the third exit onto Nympsfield Road. Continue up the hill, and follow Tinkley Lane for half a mile. The entrance to Tinkley Gate is on your right. From Bath direction, follow the A46 into Nailsworth. At the roundabout, take the first exit onto Nympsfield Road. Continue up the hill, and follow Tinkley Lane for half a mile. The entrance to Tinkley Gate is on your right. For Buckholt car park - off B4066 Stroud to Dursley road
